The team is managed by Business Safety Manager Tracey Carter, with the aim to help businesses understand their legal obligations under the Fire Safety Order 2005, while also tackling the causes of unwanted fire signals and arson.
They also carryout a programme of Business Safety Reviews, which act as a pre-audit checklist for businesses; helping them to prepare for official Fire Safety Audits.
Another key element is the engagement with partners, through projects, workshops, and joint working groups representing CF&RS.
Tracey regularly attends chamber meetings to network and spread key messages relating to fire safety, signposting businesses to free advice and support offered through our website, signposting to risk assessment guides, log books, maintenance logs and links to other key areas of information.
